We are Nicha and Francis - co-founders of Haru Matcha. We started Haru because we love matcha but we think there is so much to be learned about its origin, cultivation, history and philosophy. Having practised tea ceremony in Japan and Thailand, we knew that matcha has so much to offer. That is why we started conducting matcha tasting experiences, which we have been holding for the past 2 years and still hold today! We have absolutely loved speaking about the variety, depth and nuance of matcha and tea ceremony with you all.
We loved conducting matcha tasting experiences so much that we decided to launch our own brand. Our approach is to showcase the nuance and flavour of matcha we every pouch we release. Every pouch is from a different region and showcases different cultivars.
We have spent time in Japan touring around Japanese farms to scout out where is best to get our matcha from. We take the sourcing and curation process seriously, so want to make sure we see the matcha we sell firsthand!
We have been expanding our brand so we can get into more locations where you can try our matcha. Now we are stocked in Selfirdges and Japan Centre and supply matcha to many other cafes.
