We are Nicha and Francis - co-founders of Haru Matcha. We started Haru because we love matcha but we think there is so much to be learned about its origin, cultivation, history and philosophy. Having practised tea ceremony in Japan and Thailand, we knew that matcha has so much to offer. That is why we started conducting matcha tasting experiences, which we have been holding for the past 2 years and still hold today! We have absolutely loved speaking about the variety, depth and nuance of matcha and tea ceremony with you all.
I’ve been drinking matcha for 8 years, both in Japan and the UK. I can confidently say this is the best matcha I have found. I got Kasumi for my matcha lattes because the depth and nuttiness is still able to come through the milk. I’ve now been completely converted to Haru, no other brand in the UK is comparable!
Definitely has that nutty and slightly smokey flavour profile, holds its own in a matcha latte and is absolutely perfect when paired with some earl grey!
