Slow down and reconnect through two of Japan’s most cherished mindfulness traditions  Shodō (Japanese calligraphy) and Sadō (Japanese tea ceremony).

In this 1hr & 15 minute sensory experience, you’ll:

Mindfully test varieties of award-winning matcha
Whisk your matcha in a traditional way 
Practise expressive, meditative brushwork
Reflect on your own rhythm and energy
Take home a keepsake Japanese calligraphy piece

No experience needed  just a willingness to be present.
Spaces are limited to keep the session intimate.

Who is taking the session?

The session will  with Nicha Surawattanon and Saori Okada

Saori Okada is a Japanese calligraphy artist, registered UK health coach, and founder of Mogami Wellness (https://www.mogamiwellness.com/). Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan and currently based in London, she brings over 25 years of Japanese calligraphy (Shodō) practice, working under her calligraphy name Seisen (星洗). Saori combines the meditative art of Japanese calligraphy with her holistic approach to wellbeing, creating experiences that are both culturally rooted and deeply reflective. Her workshops offer a gentle space to reconnect with presence, purpose, and inner calm — blending ancient Japanese wisdom with a mindful, modern lens. 

Nicha is a matcha tea practitioner originally from Thailand who are trained to taste and appreciate matcha tea in Japan. She is the co-founder of the brand Haru Matcha alongside her partner. She brings a deep appreciation for traditional and authentic matcha culture. As well as knowledge into how to taste, care for and appreciate matcha tea.
